We are looking for a experienced Corporate Controller / Sr. Manager, Finance to join our team in our Buffalo, NY location. This position oversees company financial activities including reporting and financial analysis, budget development and internal and external activities of record keeping and reporting.


  • Manage with the intent to motivate, train and develop. Manage administrative responsibilities (scheduling, timekeeping, budgeting) . Provide timely, constructive feedback regarding work and performance.  Manage non-performing employees in accordance with company policy.  Manage high potential employees to career succession and growth opportunities.
  • Summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expense and earnings based on past, present and expected operations.
  • Oversee project setups and maintenance, billing, general ledger, accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
  • Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and customer credit management, and accounting.
  • Direct activities of tax planning and compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, and other applicable taxes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with banking and non-organizational accounting personnel in order to facilitate financial activities.


Preferred Education / Experience:

  • Degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline
  • MBA / CPA license preferred
  • 9-11 years in related discipline
  • Previous experience in management position or;
  • A combination of education and experience equivalent to above

Preferred Knowledge / Ability:

  • Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • High level of aptitude with various computer financial applications (e.g., MS Excel) and ERP systems is highly desired for this hands-on technical accounting role
  • Principles of cost/benefit analysis
  • Laws and regulations that apply to government accounting practices and standards
  • Analyze and evaluate administrative and abstract accounting concepts and procedures
  • Microsoft Office
