We are looking for a full time Server Administrator-Linux to oversee maintenance of daily performance, monitoring of network and system performance and administration of security on multiple platforms for computer networks.  Resolves network problems, assists with design, implementation and maintenance of computer communications systems.


  • Design & construct the next generation system by analyzing functional business requirements and design specifications. Provide technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations. Provide support in the translation of business requirements into network requirements & designs. Provide in-depth engineering analysis of network alternatives in support of network enhancement design & information security requirements.
  • Analyze, administer, troubleshoot, and maintain network infrastructure. Responsible for resolving escalated problems with the installation and documentation of new and/or updated network infrastructure to include routers, switches, copper, fiber and all associated elements.
  • Maintain network by troubleshooting and repairing outages; testing network back-up procedures; updating documentation. Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  • Implement the approved information security program within the network.
  • Administer security tools & technologies to reduce risk and implement information security best practices.
  • Coordinate information security audits and track compliance initiatives.


Preferred Education / Experience:

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional - CISSP
  • Bachelors in Computer Science or related discipline
  • 5+ years in IT generalist related position or;
  • A combination of education and experience equivalent to above
  • Due to security requirements, must be a US citizen.

Preferred Knowledge / Ability:

  • Knowledge of network cabling test equipment including network testers, copper cable testers.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft, Cisco, Linux computer hardware and software
  • Working knowledge of applications and programming, to include PowerShell and Cisco IOS.A self-starter, able to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with the highest level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Ability to be responsive and persuasive at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
