Calspan ASE is the world’s number one supplier of ground-based testing solutions and expertise for the aerospace industry. Our customers get a single, experienced partner to help them efficiently validate engine and airframe performance across development, production and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO). We are looking for a motivated individual who will be responsible for the communication of information, ideas, and instructions using visual drawings and schematics created accordingly to specifications and in support of sales.


  • Design, creates, and produces visual concepts for presentations and printed materials.
  • Collaborate with customers, product specialists, or sales staff to understand instructions and specifications and to organize the work output accordingly
  • Create layouts that confirm fit and movement of equipment in a facility, for both internal use and presentation to customers.
  • Ensure the final output addresses the client’s needs, deadlines, specifications, and budget.


Preferred Education / Experience:

  • Associates degree in Technical Art or related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience producing illustrations from engineering drawings; or similar experience;
  • A combination of education and experience equivalent to above

Preferred Knowledge / Ability:

  • CAD experience: SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor
  • Rendering, animation experience: Visualize, Photoview 360
  • Ability to render illustrations based on sketches; mechanical, architectural, and structural drawings; photos; satellite images
  • Strong understanding of civil/architectural and mechanical drawings
  • Outstanding customer service and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to quickly develop rapport with current and prospective tenants
  • Motivated self- starter with the ability to work well in a team setting
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to quickly adapt and change priorities while professionally managing interruptions
  • Must be organized and meet assigned deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
