Calspan's Part 145 Repair station, located in Niagara Falls, New York, is equipped to handle every aspect of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul. We are looking for a motivated Manager, Repair Station to oversee the service, repair, and overall maintenance of aircraft and aircraft engines to verify aircrafts are safe for flight.


  • Manage with the intent to motivate, train and develop.  Manage administrative responsibilities (scheduling, timekeeping, budgeting) . Provide timely, constructive feedback regarding work and performance.  Manage non-performing employees in accordance with company policy.  Manage high potential employees to career succession and growth opportunities.
  • Manages the service, repair, and overall maintenance of aircraft and aircraft engines to verify aircrafts are safe for flight. Ensures compliance to all FAA maintenance regulations and requirements.
  • Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Sets priorities of aircraft maintenance team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. 
  • Regularly contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.  Considered an expert in field within business group.
  • Develops solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation.  Ensures solutions are consistent with business group and organizational objectives.


Preferred Education / Experience:

  • 5+ years progressive experience and responsibility as a maintenance manager in a flight organization.
  • Experience with project management, personnel management and FAA regulations required.
  • BS in Engineering Discipline or related discipline
  • FAA A&P License
  • FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER) Qualification highly desirable. 

Preferred Knowledge / Ability:

  • Aircraft stability and control, flying/handling qualities, flight control system design and analysis, flight simulation and parameter identification
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and manage abstract and concrete variables
