Overview

Calspan ASE is the world’s number one supplier of ground-based testing solutions and expertise for the aerospace industry. Our customers get a single, experienced partner to help them efficiently validate engine and airframe performance across development, production and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO). We are looking for a motivated Sr. Manager, Manufacturing to join our team! This individual will provide leadership, training, direction and guidance to manufacturing and shipping staff as required to meet customer requirements. In addition they will ensure timely execution of assigned work to meet production schedules while maintaining product quality and safety. This individual will oversee the maintenance and repair needs of the Fillmore and Florida facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage in alignment with our company values.  Lead with the intent to create a respectful and healthy work culture that embraces inclusion. Manage administrative responsibilities (scheduling, timekeeping, budgeting). Provide timely, constructive feedback regarding work and performance.  Manage non-performing employees in accordance with company policy.  Manage high potential employees to career succession and growth opportunities
  • Staff assignments to meet production schedule milestones and utilize resources in the best practical manner. Provides vision to achieve sustaining long-term improvement in resource utilization around labor, equipment and space.
  • Cross-functional work to enable business to effectively meet customer requirements and drive profitability for the organization.
  • Promote a productive and safe work environment to meet company quality, workmanship and safety objectives. Serve as the point of contact for the maintenance needs of the Fillmore and Florida facilities.
  • Determine department objectives in support of business initiatives and monitors department progress.

Qualifications

Preferred Education / Experience:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in technology or related discipline
  • 9-11 years of experience in manufacturing environment or similar industry; or
  • A combination of education and experience equivalent to above

Preferred Knowledge / Ability:

  • Experience in aviation mechanical and/or electrical preferred
  • Travel up to 10%
  • ITAR required US Person
