Calspan is looking for a motivated Supervisor, Aircraft Maintenance Services to oversee the service, repair, and overall maintenance of aircraft and aircraft engines to verify aircraft are safe for flight. This individual will manage a team of aircraft mechanics while providing resource planning and oversight.

• Supervises the service, repair, and overall maintenance of aircraft and aircraft engines to verify aircraft are safe for flight, coordinates unscheduled maintenance events, and ensures compliance with all FAA maintenance regulations and requirements.
• Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Supports priorities established by the Senior Manager, Aircraft Maintenance of aircraft maintenance team regarding projects, tasks, training, and operations.
• Enforces current standards, policies and regulations and regularly contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.  Develops solutions to complex problems.  Ensures solutions are consistent with business group and organizational objectives.
• Works directly with the Senior Manager, Aircraft Maintenance to plan and actively lead both long range and day to day maintenance operations within the business group. Execute the plan (scheduled maintenance/aircraft modifications) through direct leadership of maintenance personnel. Report status of operations.

Preferred Education / Experience:

• Progressive experience and responsibility as an aviation maintenance manager.
• Bachelor’s Degree desired in Aviation Management or related field, or comparable experience.
• Experience with project management, personnel management and FAA regulations.
• FAA A&P License.

Preferred Knowledge / Ability:

• Extensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance operations and applicable FAA regulations.
• Experience planning, leading, and completing projects on time and budget.
• Proven record of team building and development of assigned employees.
