Calspan Systems in Newport News, VA is an industry leader in the engineering and manufacture of complex aerospace hardware and prototype systems for ground test and flight applications. Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities Listed Below – Compensation and position level commensurate with education and experience.

 

Responsible for the administration of Government Contracts and Subcontracts, including: analyzing and evaluating terms and conditions, verifying funding, reviewing for compliance with bid, negotiating provisions, mitigating risk and issuing and managing related subcontracts. General duties include administering contracts and subcontracts, daily interface with government and teaming partners, and management and submission of required reporting. 

  • Review and monitor all contract requirements to ensure compliance.  Identify and monitor risks associated with terms and conditions.  Ensure all reporting and contract deliverables are issued in accordance with customer requirements.  
  • Ensure all regulatory systems are maintained and compliant per DCMA, DCAA, Department of State and Commerce, and customer specific agencies. 
  • Issue and manage subcontracts.  Draft and issue awards. Ensure that flow down requirements are established related to terms and conditions, reporting and FAR/DFAR requirements. Monitor subcontractor performance and milestone event schedules to ensure compliance.  
  • Monitor contract and subcontractor funding.  Coordinate contract and subcontract modifications, including drafting requests for changes and amendments and developing support as needed for modifications.
  • Provide input and work with finance on financial reports, invoices, performance metrics, etc.  Complete contract and subcontract close-out activities, as required.  Support customer and government audits, as required.

Qualifications

Preferred Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline;
  • Relevant experience
  • Due to security requirements this position requires US Citizenship

Preferred Knowledge / Ability: 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Provide contracting leadership and full life cycle support to government clients, including administering contracts with the US government and subcontracts with prime contractors.
  • Knowledge of the FAR, DFARS and other US government procurement regulations.
  • Cradle-to-grave administration for contracts and subcontracts.
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to accurately track large volumes of contract documents and data
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
