Mechanical / Electrical Engineering Internship - Crash

Calspan’s interns will contribute to exciting projects in both the aerospace and automotive industries and have the opportunity to participate in professional development sessions led by subject matter industry leaders. We are looking for a motivated student to join our team as a Computer Science / Electrical Intern!


  • Participate in the accelerometer life cycle
  • Preform vehicle instrumentation, vehicle check out, data collection, followed by instrumentation removal.
  • Verify function using multimeter response and bridge resistances
  • Create an automated process for the shunt check


Preferred Education / Experience:

  • Must be currently enrolled in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or other related program at an accredited college or university.
  • Must have completed (3) years of undergraduate studies by May 2023 (students graduating in May 2023 or graduate students will not be considered)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of sensor theory, database familiarity
  • Experience with SQL
  • Mechanical and Electrical aptitude
