This individual will be responsible for a variety of internal/external reporting, reconciliation, analysis and transactional accounting tasks; applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Balance Sheet account reconciliations, account analysis, accrual calculations, and other related accounting documents/schedules. Review and post Accounts Payable & PO Vouchers, maintain Daily Treasury reports & monthly reconciliation of physical inventory  as well as perform special projects to improve process efficiency and performance.
  • Ensure financial records and master data are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures, specifically direct projects, indirect projects, organizations, general ledger accounts, vendors and customers. Prepare complete and accurate entries to subledgers as required on a daily, monthly and annual basis such as adjusting journal entries, recurring entries, cash receipts and recording the cost of newly-acquired fixed assets (both tangible and intangible), tracking existing fixed assets, recording depreciation, and accounting for the disposition of fixed assets.
  • Provide financial support for financial reporting and analysis.  Assist with testing and receive final approval for system reports required for management, financial reporting and general ledger reconciliations. Maintain process and procedure documentation for finance.
  • Ensure accurate and timely subperiod, monthly and year end close as well as timely completion of assigned year-end audit engagement schedules.

Qualifications

Preferred Education / Experience:

  • Bachelors in related discipline
  • 7+ years in related discipline or;
  • A combination of education and experience equivalent to above

Preferred Knowledge / Ability:

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office; advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Understanding of accounting processes, procedure and internal controls
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to succeed in a team environment
  • Customer Service oriented
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational, research and analytical skills.
  • Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects as well as strong follow through skills.
  • Experience working in an ERP environment
