We are looking for a full time Manager, Research & Development, Automotive Test Services support the organizations broad marketing needs across multiple transportation business units.

Responsibilities

The primary objective is to broaden the customer base throughout the Automotive Test Services segments.

  • Identify and close new business opportunities for the Tire Testing and Modelling groups. Work directly with OEM’s, automotive companies and motorsports organizations to demonstrate the value and expertise of Calspan.
  • Directly manage the designated core customer base from a retention and growth standpoint. Develop and implement new testing and modelling methodologies or technologies that address customer needs and close gaps in the market, ensuring Calspan’s position at the forefront of tire testing and tire modelling.
  • Support engineering team with project management, test design, data analysis, tire modelling, and reporting activities. Attend and support test sessions in the lab and on the track.
  • Professionally represent the company at various business conferences, trade shows and community events. Increase our visibility within the technical/lecture communities.
  • Domestic and international travel to customer sites and industry events up to 25%.

Qualifications

Preferred Education / Experience:

  • Bachelors/Masters in a business and/or engineering related discipline
  • 3+ years in related discipline;
  • Previous experience in sales/marketing/business development position or;
  • Previous experience in automotive engineering position or;
  • A combination of education and experience equivalent to above

Preferred Knowledge / Ability:

  • Engineering principles, procedures and techniques
  • Automotive testing
  • Familiarity or experience with tire and/or vehicle testing (in-lab or proving ground)
  • Familiarity or experience with tire and/or vehicle modelling and simulation

The salary range provided is a general guideline. Actual pay will depend on several factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and other applicable qualifications.  Calspan is committed to pay transparency in compliance with applicable state and local laws.

USD $75,000.00/Yr.

Salary Range (max)

USD $125,000.00/Yr.
