We are seeking a Subcontracts Manager to join our team. This position is responsible for identification, qualification, selection, and management of subcontracted suppliers for project deliverables; including general contracting, heavy industrial fabrication, pressure vessels, electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities Listed Below – Compensation and position level commensurate with education and experience.

  • Develop and initiate Request for Quotations (RFQ’s). Evaluate quotations, negotiate price, terms and delivery schedules. Select qualified suppliers by using best sourcing practices.
  • Draft, negotiate and execute complex contracts. Execute contract agreements such as purchase orders, statements of work, letters of Intent and non-disclosure agreements. 
  • Perform supplier surveillance to ensure supplier complies with all work scope, schedule, budget and quality commitments. Works with project team to mitigate cost, schedule and technical risks or non-conformances.
  • Establish and maintain a domestic and international strategic supplier base for sourcing long term projects.
  • Collaborates with engineering to construct contractual technical documentation, specifications and drawings.

Qualifications

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline.
  • 7+ years in related discipline.
  • A combination of education and experience equivalent to above

Preferred Knowledge / Ability:

  • Ability to travel internationally and domestically 30% of the time
  • Preferred knowledge of general contracting and manufacturing; international experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of procurement, contracts, and negotiation skills.
  • International, domestic, and government sub-contracts experience preferred.
  • Creates a collaborative environment with suppliers, contractors, and cross-functional peers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret common technical information and drawings.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications and ERP software.
