We are proud to offer innovators a wide array of engineering services to support their game-changing innovations.  The Senior Contracts Manager serves as lead of contracts management and administration, including but not limited to preparation of proposals, contract negotiation, change orders and contract closeouts. We are looking for candidates in both our Buffalo, NY and St. Paul, MN locations. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administration and management of government and commercial contracts, and any related change orders or subcontracts, from initial proposal until contract closeout.
  • Review and negotiate terms and conditions to mitigate risk to the company while achieving the company’s financial and business objectives.
  • Draft, review, negotiate and administer teaming agreements, bailment agreements, equipment leases, services contracts, consultant agreements, nondisclosure agreements, and other agreements
  • Lead provider of government contracts expertise. Provide timely advice on Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other government regulations.  Assist with strategy for all government contracts. 
  • Provide input and guidance on contracts-related policies, procedures, and raining. Oversee audits including government-initiated audits, and other management initiatives.

Qualifications

Preferred Education / Experience:

  • Bachelors in related discipline
  • 7+ years in related discipline or;
  • A combination of education and experience equivalent to above

 Preferred Knowledge / Ability:

  • Experience with full life-cycle government and commercial contract management and contract types (CPFF, FFP, T&M, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
  • Familiarity with advanced issues in government contracting, such as intellectual property, TINA, and conflicts of interest
  • Working knowledge of U.S. Export Control and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
  • Experience negotiating with the U.S. government and with commercial customers directly
  • Hold, or be eligible to obtain, and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Security Clearance
  • Excellent business judgment and verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work well in a team setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
