Overview

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will partner with business units to consult and execute human resource strategies pertaining to talent management, performance management, employee engagement, and employee relations. This position supports departmental HR projects and events while fostering a culture that aligns with Calspan’s values and business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership: Formulate partnerships with management and employees to support business objectives. Foster an environment of positive employee relations, identify and escalate issues, and provide counsel to employees and managers.
  • Employee Relations Leadership: Serve as a point of contact for employee relations matters. Manage investigations, provide conflict resolution guidance, and ensure compliance with company policies, employment law, and best practices. Develop proactive strategies to improve workplace satisfaction, communication, and retention.

  • Talent Acquisition: Manage Calspan’s recruitment strategy, programs, and processes. Partner with business leaders to develop, implement, and execute effective sourcing strategies across the organization. Build pipelines of “ready-now” talent and ensure a smooth transition from candidate to employee.

  • Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, orientation, performance management, and offboarding.

  • Employee Engagement & Culture: Implement employee programs to maximize business impact around culture, engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness.

  • HR Operations & Compliance: Provide coordination support for human resource projects, including the annual performance appraisal process, open enrollment, compliance (company, state, & federal), and company-sponsored events.

Qualifications

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in human resources or related discipline.

  • A combination of education and experience equivalent to the above will be considered.


Preferred Knowledge / Abilities

  • Strong working knowledge of HR best practices, including talent management, employee relations, engagement, and performance management.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in teams and with individuals at all organizational levels; experience in international or multicultural environments is a plus.

  • Experience managing multiple priorities independently; self-starter with strong organizational skills.

  • Comprehensive understanding of HR processes, procedures, and policies.

  • Excellent facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills.

The salary range provided is a general guideline. Actual pay will depend on several factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and other applicable qualifications.  Calspan is committed to pay transparency in compliance with applicable state and local laws.

USD $80,000.00/Yr.

Salary Range (max)

USD $105,000.00/Yr.
