We’re looking for a full-time Finance Systems Analyst to join our team in Buffalo, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize the value of information provided to all levels of the organization by using various programs including Power BI, Excel, SQL, etc., to develop custom queries, dashboards and reports as requested.
  • Support applications already in production, providing troubleshooting, participating in upgrades, training and help desk support for key business and reporting systems. Configure and monitor job queues, workflows, and various approval paths.  Work with external vendors as needed to support and/or improve applications and ensure that the organization is fully utilizing application functionality.
  • Document help desk incident information and receipt of all necessary equipment and information. Maintain documentation and security information on processes, development projects and reports.
  • Develop methods for implementing new products and customizations to existing applications, ensuring thorough testing and user acceptance is performed prior to implementation.
  • Maintain and document security configuration, including permissions, user groups, and profiles for key business and reporting systems. Schedule periodic internal reviews with management and provide audit reports upon request.

Qualifications

Preferred Education / Experience:

  • Bachelors in related discipline – Accounting Information Systems (AIS) degree preferred
  • 5+ years in Finance / IT related position or;
  • A combination of education and experience equivalent to above
  • Due to security requirements, US Citizenship is required

 Preferred Knowledge / Ability:

  • Power BI, DAX, SQL
  • Experience with deploying and/or supporting ERP systems, including Deltek Costpoint, Microsoft NAV 2017, and Microsoft Business Central
  • Strong understanding of project-based accounting, manufacturing and government contracting
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Security configurations & role based security models
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active US government security clearance
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

The salary range provided is a general guideline. Actual pay will depend on several factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and other applicable qualifications.  Calspan is committed to pay transparency in compliance with applicable state and local laws.
