This role is accountable for improving on-time delivery (OTD) and reliably executing cost avoidance strategies. This role will define organizational processes, understand and mitigate in-country risks, ensure global projects are executed within applicable legal constraints, and communicate with internal stakeholders about strategies to improve our global project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Business & Regulatory Management: Primary authority on global regulatory requirements, site access, and local governance. Translate these complexities into organizational procedures, actionable project plans, clear cost/schedule impact assessments, and early engagement strategies with in-country legal and regulatory experts.
  • Proactive Project Planning: Develop a standard lead-time framework and readiness checklist to initiate international preparation during the proposal phase. Ensure all international budgets account for local consultation, expert support, compliance considerations, and risks.
  • Contract & Risk Governance: Collaborate with Business Development (Sales), Contracts, Finance, Supply Chain and Project Management to update customer and vendor contract language to reflect international strategies. Review and approve quotes to ensure local risks are identified and mitigated.
  • Process Standardization: Create and maintain a unified international operations plan covering proposal scope, greenfield site development, and brownfield modifications. Provide input on optimal risk-ownership models and perform feasibility studies of organizational decisions, e.g., establishing local business entities.
  • Performance & Leadership Reporting: Track and report on international OTD performance, cost avoidance, regulatory trends, and emerging risks and opportunities. Champion international operations in cross-functional meetings and escalate issues requiring organizational action.
